From Ed Falterman
To Peter Feliciano
September 6, 2004

Hi Peter,
I came across your website for St. Agnes Home and School for Boys.
Its been 32 years since I left St. Agnes and not a month goes by that I do not think of the time I spend at St. Agnes.

Looking at the photos of St. Agnes brought back so many memories. I spend many years trying to forget my time at St. Agnes because it reminded me of the harsh reality of not growing up with my biological family. The reality is the guys at St. Agnes became my family during the years of 1965 to 1972 from the age of 8 years old to 15 years old.

For many years my brother John, who also lived at St. Agnes from 1965 to 1973, would from time to time mention something about our time together at St. Agnes which would trigger off many memories of our experiences at St. Agnes.

I recall reading a newspaper in 1977 which stated that the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill had closed down St. Agnes Home and School for Boys and for sometime I grieved over the closing of St. Agnes like I had a death in the family. Recently my brother John passed away on October 11, 2002, and once again while grieving over John's death I recall my years living at St. Agnes, 1965 to 1972.

Please add me to your email list for the St. Agnes Alumni. Thanks for so much in establishing the St. Agnes Alumni website. I look forward in hearing from you.
Thanks again.
Peace,
Ed Falterman

Hi Ed,
Nice to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed the website.

We always ask for permission to publish the email addresses to the House Kids List so other alumni can contact you. So I'm asking for permission. My brother David handles the list and will include your names. Also, if you would, we'd like to know the years your brother John was at "The House" (St. Agnes), and the year of death. We will also add his name to the"Memorial" page.

The Alumni Assn. just had their annual reunion picnic last month at the Piermont Pavilion. Living in California, I missed it. As usual, they had a wonderful time by all accounts.

The Alumni Assn. is a separate entity from the website although we'd like to work closely together. You may want to join the Alumni Assn. (the dues are $10.00/yr). Art and Gloria Kingley put out a quarterly newsletter: nothing fancy, but it is informative. If you want to join, contact Art at:

St. Agnes Alumni, 9 Glen Road Highland Falls, NY 10928 Tel: 845-446-4091

If you have any stories/anecdotes about St. Agnes you would like included on the website, send them to my brother David or me. Also, if you know of other "House Kids" that are not already on the list, by all means let us know. If you are in contact with other "House Kids" or their families, please make them aware of the website.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Peter Feliciano
1942-1951

Hi Peter,
I am starting to get over the shock of coming across the St. Agnes website. The photos of St. Agnes brought back several memories of my days at St. Agnes from 1965 to 1972. I plan tonight to look over my brother's 8th grade yearbook, 1973.

You may add the email note I sent you on September 6, 2004 on the St. Agnes website and you may add my brother's name to the memorial page, John Falterman October 11, 2002.

You may list my email address for those who wish to contact me. At a later date I will be willing to provide you with additional information, names and photos of events that took place during the years of 1965 to 1973. Thanks for all your work in establishing the St. Agnes website.

Please feel free to contact me at falterman1@aol.com
Take care for now.
Peace,

Ed Falterman
