Dear David,
I wanted to let you know that my father-in-law, Mr. Louis DeBlasio, passed away on September 17th.
He had suffered from Alzheimer's disease but still retained much of his long term memory. He told us many stories of his times at St. Agnes Convent for boys. We know he entered the home around 1929 or 1930 when he was four years old and stayed until he was 17 years old which would have been around 1942. He then entered the USN where he served as a radioman in the South Pacific.
He was awed when we discovered your website and we wanted to bring him to a reunion for a visit but alas, it was not to be as his illness progressed.
Lou is now interred at Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA - honoring his military service.
Thank you for your good work.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline F. DeBlasio, wife of Louis DeBlasio, Jr and daughter in law (for 25 years) to Lou DeBlasio, Sr. R.I.P.
