Larry Parrish of Highland Conn., and New Hope, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, with his son, Lawrence, by his side. Before moving to Pennsylvania, he lived on Iris Court in Teaneck, N.J. He was laid to rest in Saddle Brook, N.J. Lawrence was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the APA-12 Leonard Wood, landing troops in the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Pacific. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Teaneck Ambulance Corp, and Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association. He also was a Saint Agnes Alumni of Sparkill, N.Y. Larry is survived by his wife, Margaret; his son, Lawrence Parrish; grandsons, Thomas and Robert Parrish; and grandchildren, Christopher, Chantel, Alexander, Michelyn, Jadyn Macenzy and Aidan. | ||
